TheFacultyhasbeenlistedinthetoptenoftheQSrankingsbysubjectforsixyearsinarow.
Fourperformanceindicatorswereusedtoassesstheuniversities,withweightingsrecalibratedforeachsubject.
Theindicatorsandtheirweightingsfortheeducationsubjectare:1)academicreputation(50%);2)employerreputation(10%);3)citationsperpaper(20%);and4)H-index(20%),whichmeasuresboththeproductivityandimpactofascholar'spublications.
TheFacultyachievedanoverallscoreof86.
1,scoringstronglyonallthecriteria.
TheFacultyhasalonghistoryofmorethan100yearsinpreparingteachers,initiallyastheDepartmentfortheTrainingofTeacherswithintheFacultyofArtsbackin1917.
IthasevolvedgreatlyandtodayservesasthepremierteachereducationinstitutioninHongKong.
TheFaculty'sexceptionallyhighqualityofresearchandteachingleadstoconsistentlyoutstandingperformanceinvariousworlduniversityrankings.
TheFacultyisalsorankedfirstinHongKong,reaffirmingitsleadingpositionineducationbothgloballyandlocally.

Thisrecognitionalsoindicatesthatweareontherighttrackineducationandteachertraining.
Ourcontinuingsuccessisthankstotheconsistenteffortofallthestaffmembers,andourstudentsandalumniwhohavecontributedhandsomelytoresearch,learningandteachingaswellasknowledgeexchange.
Eventhoughthisacademicyearhasbeenchallengingandfullofuncertainties,wearecertainabouttwothings:ourfacultymembersaredeterminedtocontinuestrivingforexcellence,andtobeleadersineducation.
