Meanwhile,thecontinuousexpeditingofurbanizationalsooccursintherealworld.
Itisabigchallengefordesignerstocoincidewiththenewtrendsofcityandmedia.
NewdesignthinkingframeworksandmethodologieswillbeneededtosolvetheemergingproblemsinthecitiesofChina.
Asbeingdesignerswithsocialresponsibility,wehaveacriticalquestthatishowtodesignforthesocialinnovation,sustainablyforthemostpeopleandimprovethesociallifeinthecontextofdevelopinglocalandculturalcityenvironment.
Thetrendofserviceinnovationleadsanewroundofeconomicgrowth,whichishappinginChina.
Wedevelopedanewframeworkwiththreeperspectivesaboutsocialinnovation,i.

,socialinteraction,socialintegrationandsocialinclusion.
Tosolvetheproblemsbroughtfromurbanization,weneedtheholisticperspectiveswiththeintegratedmethodsofsocialinnovationandservicedesign.
Thecasestudies,whichdevotedtocreatetheinnovatedapplicationandservicefortheurbanlifeinChina,showthepowerofintegratingtheurbanandmediatogetherindesignthinkingandimplementation.

Asaresult,thetrafficaccidents,exhaustpollutionarebecomingincreasinglyserious.
PopulationAging:Withtheimprovementoflivingconditionsandsustainablefamilyplanningpolicy,Chinahasgraduallyenteredintoanagingsociety.
Moreelderlypeoplelivinginthecityandthenumberofemptynestfamiliesbegantoincreasewhich,proposednewrequirementstothesocialmedical,healthandservicesystem.
Environment:environmentalpollutionhasbecomecritical,theairpollution,noisepollution,heatislandeffect,watershortages,etc.
,areseriouslythreateningpeople'shealthandthequalityoflife.
Society:Astheeconomicisinthestateoftransition,peopleliveinlargecitesfeelmorestressfulandanxietyabouttheirlifeandwork.
Socialjusticeandotherissuesalsoleadtodissatisfaction.
Theseproblemsreflectthecurrentsocialsituation.
However,asmoreconcernhasbeenpaidandnewtechnologiesdevelopment,itispossibletosolvetheseurbanissuesbyinnovation[1].

2SocialMediaasaNewWayforSocialInnovationWhentheChinesegovernmentmentionedtheinclusivedevelopmentinthegovernment'sconferencein2010,designdisciplinarymeetsanewchallengedfutureinChina.
Designpracticewillbemorefocusedonthesocialinclusionandpublicservice.
Particularly,basedonthepopularityanddevelopmentofsocialmediaanddigitalmediainChina,thesocialnetworkprovidedanewplatformforservicedesignincyberspace,whichalsoenabledthefeasibilityforthesocialinnovation.
ThenewtechnologyplatformarenotonlycomputersbutalsomobileandInternet.
Mostcyberservicecanbeprovidedthroughthesecheapandflexibledevices,includingmobilephone,portabledevices,tabletPCorcloudclient.
However,themobilenetworkandInternetinChinacannotsatisfytherequirementofhighbandwidthforsomanyusersperfectly.
ThecurrentsituationinChinaincludesahighpopularizationofsmartphones,alargenumberofclientsandlowbandwidth.
RestrictingInteractionandservicedesignbytheseChinesetechnologycharacteristics,itisastartingpointforparticipantstodesignforChina.
Appropriatelydesignedapplicationsonhealthcare,educationandentertainmentwillcreateanewmarketandshortenthedistancebetweeninformationsocietieswithlow-incomebyutilizingnewtechnologyallovertheworld.

Socialmediainnovationisdesignforthepeopleandwillhaveextensiveandintensiveimpactofsociety.
Thesocialmediaisintheprofoundchangenow.
ThechangeispushedforwardspecificallybytherevolutionofInternetmediaandmobilemedia.
Itreflectsonfollowingpoints:therevolutionofsocialmediaadvancesthecommunicationprocessesbythesocialgroupcenter,enhancestherelationshipamongthegroupsandimprovestheactivityofsocialindividuals.
Newsocialmediahasbecomeabridgebringingrealsociallifeandcyberspacecloser.
Ithasbroughtthepossibilityofcreatinga'flatworld',whichpassesoffasmuchofstatementaspossibleandgives496Z.

ThemostimportantsocialnetworkingisRenren,Tencent,kaixin001andSinaInChina.
Thereare140millionuserregisteredinRenren,100millionconcurrentusersinTencent.
Thesocialnetworkinggamesisverypopularin2010whichcausetheconcernofthewholesocietyandastrongresponse.
Itcanbeseenthereisalargetargetgroupforsocialmediaappandservice.
2ResearchMethodologiesandProcessResearchPlan.
Thispaperisinterestedinfindanewwaytobridgethesocialcommunicationwiththerealcitylife,andthen,createaninnovatedapplicationandserviceforinclusivedevelopment.
Withthebloomingmobileandsocialcomputingtechnology,thecontentgenerating,informationcollectionandattitudesharinginthesocialnetworkwebsitebecomeadailylifestatusformostyoungcitizen.
Peoplecanconnectwitheachothernotonlybylocationorevent,butalsothroughsharedinformationandattitudeaboutspecialtopicsontheSNSplatform.
Mappingtheabstractattitudeandrelationshipbasedonthesocialgraphwillbethefundamentalresearchfordesignpractice.
Followingthemethodologyof"researchthroughdesign"[2],wedivideditintotwoparts:researchandprototypedesign.
SurveyandVisualizationofSocialCommunicationPattern.
BasedonthesurveyonthesocialmediaapplicationinChina,wewillvisualizethesocialpatternoftheuserpreferenceandtheinfluenceofdifferenttopics,andexplorethemodelabouthowdoesthehottopiccycleandtransforminsocialnetworkthroughthesupportofdataminingtechnology.
Researchwilltrytorevealthepatternsofcollectiveattitudesandexperienceexpressionandtransformationthroughthecollaboratedcollecting,sharingandtransferringactionsintheSNSplatform[3],[4].
Fewspecifictopicswhichrelatedtocitywillbeselectedfortheinvestigationprocess.
Wewillbuildaspecialwebsiteoraspecialtopicgroupinthesocialnetworksite,suchasFacebook,twitter,Renren,DoubanorSinamicro-blogtoexploreandcapturethedataaboutcross-culturalcommunication.
TheachievementsofthispartwillinvolvethesurveyofcollectiveinteractionpatternsintheSNSplatform,visualizationofthetransformationandcirculationmodelofhottopicbasedonsocialgraph,explorationofjourneymappingoncross-culturalcollectiveattitudesandexperiencesinonlinecommunity.
Forexample,our1Inmathematicalsociology,interpersonaltiesaredefinedasinformation-carryingconnectionsbetweenpeople.
Interpersonalties,generally,comeinthreevarieties:strong,weak,orabsent.
Weaksocialties,itisargued,areresponsibleforthemajorityoftheembeddednessandstructureofsocialnetworksinsocietyaswellasthetransmissionofinformationthroughthesenetworks.
Specifically,morenovelinformationflowstoindividualsthroughweakratherthanstrongties.
Becauseourclosefriendstendtomoveinthesamecirclesthatwedo,theinformationtheyreceiveoverlapsconsiderablywithwhatwealreadyknow.
Acquaintances,bycontrast,knowpeoplethatwedonot,andthusreceivemorenovelinformation.

SocialMedia-basedPrototypeApplicationDesign.
Basedonthefindingsfromsocialmediaresearch,wewilldesignanapplicationprototypeontheselectedtopicofcities.
Theimpressionofthecitymeansthereflectiveexperienceoftherealurbanculture,lifeandlandscape.
However,theseareveryhardtoproduceaprototypeandbevisualized.
Therefore,aspecialmedium,suchassmartproduct,thatcanconnectthevirtualandrealworldisneeded.
Alternatively,wecanselecttopicsoninfo-structureofcity,suchasTransportation,care,security,help,etc.
asathinkingstrategyandbreakthroughpointtopresentthenewapplicationandserviceaboutthespecificperspectiveofthecity.
Thepatternsandprototypesdevelopedinthisresearchwillbethereferenceforthefurtherresearchonsocialcommunication;thepracticaldeliverablesalsocanpromotethesocialinnovationinthecontextandcultureofChina[5],[6].
3FrameworkofOurResearch3.
1TheModelofCommunicationBasedontheSNSdesignamethodandtheoryofcommunicationareneeded.
Inthetraditionalmodelofnetworkcommunication,usersusethetoolstopostandreceivetheinformationinthecommunicationplatform.
Itcanbenoticedthatthecommunicationplatformcollectthepersonalopinionsandformasubjecttoattractmoreaudienceswhenitbecamealargescaleitwillbeapublicopinionandwillbreaktheoldbalanceandgetmorerespond,shownasFigure1.

2FromIndividualtoSocialCommunicationIntermsofthemediaexperiencingfromindividualcommunicationtomasscommunicationandsocialmediacommunication,comparewiththeimpactandtheparticipations,wecanseethattheweaktieandthestrongtieplayanimportantroleinthecommunicationandtheweaktiecreatethenewopportunitiessothepeoplecancontactwitheachotherinposition,time,eventorattitude.

Intheurbanmedia,usersareaggregatetogetherandformsmallcommunitiesforcommunication.

Thecommunityisabackgroundofindividualsand,therefore,formsprimarygroup.
PeopleareconnectedthroughweaktiesandstrongtiesInthevaryingenvironment,peoplearegenerating,connecting,managing,andsharingwhichformsthetoplevelofsocialinteraction(seethefigurebelow)Thefirstleveloftheframeworkmaprepresentsindividual,thesecondlevelismediaandthethirdlevelislocation.
Thesethreelevelsarecorrespondingtothesocialinteraction,integrationandinclusionrespectively.
Inthefirstlevel,westudycommutationbetweenindividualsandgroupsthroughinformationgeneration,sharingandsocialnetworkinavirtualspace.
Inthesecondlevelweexploithowtocombineindividualswithurbanmediatoproduceapplicationsandservices,meanwhile,meettherequirementofsociallife,workandentertainment.
Finally,thethirdlevelisinarealenvironmentandweconsiderfromcommercial,societyandtechnologyaspectstoachievetheinclusivesocialinnovation.

3IntegratedFrameworkofSocialInnovationandServiceDesignThroughsocialmedia,individualscansharetheirowninformation,andtheycanexperienceandsharethepublicinformationtogether.
Socialintegrationmeanstoconnectpeoplewithmediaandenvironment,integratesystematicurbanbasicinstallationplatformandconvergethepoweroftrans-media.
Socialinclusionmakespersonalservicetransfertopublicserviceforcity.
Fromtheperspectiveofsocialresponsibility,socialfairnessandsocialcare,whichrepresentthevalueofservicebycombiningdesign,technologyandbusinesstogether.
Thus,anewmodelbasedonsocialmediainnovationcanbeprovided.
Accordingtotheresearchmentionedabove,anintegrationframeworkiscreatedforsolvingtheintegrationofsocialmediaandFig.

IntegratedframeworksDesigningforSocialUrbanMedia499urbaninstallation,whichisalsousedfornewsocialinnovationapplicationandservicedesignreferencepoint,shownasFigure3.
Theframeworkincludespersonalserviceandsharedservice.
Thedifferentweaktiecircleshavebeenintegratedtobeanurbanservicenetworkbysocialmedia.
Theseinnovationapplicationsprovidethenumberofactiveinteractiveusers,smooththeinformationsystemenvironmentandwidelyapplicablespaceandtopicsforsocialmedia,throughwhichthesocialinnovationispossible,shownasFigure2.
4CaseStudiesBasedontheresearchofsocialmedia,fewprojectsweredevelopedtoimplementthetheoryandframework,includingtheapplicationofsocialcommunicationmodelandservicedesignthroughtheplatformofsocialnetwork.

1VisualizingandTransferSocialMindBasedonSocialNetworkingMappingCollectiveAttitudethroughSocialMediaApplication.
Inthesocialmediaapplication,peopleconnectthroughmediaandcontent.
Basedoncross-culturalsocialmedia,theproject:"IseeBeijing"expressedthesharedmannerofcommunityintheurbanenvironment.
Thesocialmediahasprovidedanenormousparticipatingspacefortheusers,withthecharacteristicsofhighparticipating,openness,lessbarriers,easytoshare,community,connectivityandsoon.

2ServiceDesignthroughthePlatformofSocialNetworkingConnectingpeoplebysmartproductandservice.
Inthe"Smartconnector"project,weweregoingtofindanewnaturalwaytoconnectpeoplewithinthesocialnetworkingtoshareinformationandcreateco-experience.
[8]Withtheextensivelyusedsocialnetworkingsites,beencontactedbySNShasbecomeapopularlifestyle.
Theprojectaimstofindanewkindofsocialexperience,withmorenaturalwayandmoreconciseinteractivelanguageandalsoenabletocommunicatewiththevirtualworld.
Fortheprototype,afour-wheeldrivecarsthatcontrolledbyaPCwasmadeandanexternalloadoftwoinfraredsensorstomakeactionsofavarietyofmovement.
ThesensorsignalcanalsochangetheimagecontentofsocialnetworkserverwhichisdisplayedonthePC.
Sensorcontrolsdifferentcontentcanbeswitchedbytheimage[9](shownatFigure4).

ThevisualizationcanrevealthestrategyandtrendsofChineseurbandevelopmentatamacroscopiclevel.
ResearchontheCo-designandCo-production.
Withthedevelopmentofcrowdsourcing,theserviceindustryhaspaidmoreattentiononco-designandco-production.
Withtheperspectiveofco-working,weconsiderabouthowtoshare,translateandshapethevaluableknowledgeultimatelyinvirtualspace.
Thisstudywasbettercombinedtheinnovationneedsofthelabor-intensiveindustries,richcultureandunbalanceddevelopmentinChina,theChinesedesignersneedtoimprovethepublicserviceinnovationandsatisfythesocialrequirementinChinesecitylife.
Ourresearchleavesthedesignerslargeroomtoplay.
DesignforPublicServiceandSocialImpact.
Digitalsurvivalhasbecomeapartofpeople'surbanlifewhichhasbeeninvolvedinbothworkingandentertainment.
Itdoesnotonlyrepresentthesocialnetworking,butalsosomespecificapplications,e.
