HewillalsodemonstratehowtoloadfoilandmaterialandverifythattheMAXX2printsproperly.
;InspectingtheshipmentfordamageTheMAXX2isshippedFOBSouthWindsor,CTandyouareresponsibleforanydamageafteritleavesourdock.
SincethetechnicianisfamiliarwiththeMAXX2andisunpackingandinstallingitforyou,hewillhelpyoubycheckingforvisibleandconcealeddamage.
Ifthepackagingshowsvisibleevidenceofdamagewhenyoufirstremoveitfromthetruck,listanddescribethedamageonthedeliveryreceiptandhaveitco-signedbythedriver.
Describethedamageinasmuchdetailaspossible.
ImmediatelycontactyourdistributorandtheGerberService(800-828-5406)anddescribethedamage.
Concealeddamageisthemostdifficulttypeofclaimtocollectfromthecarrierandnormallycannotbedetermineduntilduringtheunpackingandinstallationsequence.
Theburdenofproofisonyoutoprovetheshipmentsuffereddamagewhileinthecarrier'spossession.
Thecarrierholdsacleardeliveryreceiptwithnonotationdescribingthedamageandthelongertheshipmentisinyourpossession,themoredifficultitistocollectfromthecarrier.
Timeisoftheutmostimportance.
AsthetechnicianunpackstheMAXX2,hewillinspecteverythingfordamage.
Ifhediscoversdamage,hewillstopunpackinganddonothingfurthertodisturbtheshipment.
Hewillsaveallpackagingandleavethedamagedequipmentexactlywhereitis,ifpossible.
Youshouldtakephotographs,ifpossible.
Youmusttelephonethecarrierimmediatelyandrequestaninspection.
Makesureyouwritedownthenameofthepersonyoutalktoandimmediatelyconfirmthetelephoneconversationwithalettertothatperson.
Thecarrieroritsagentwillmaketheinspectionwithinfiveworkingdaysafteryoureportthedamage.
Ifthecarrierdoesnotmaketheinspectionorwaivesinspection,you(andthetechnician,ifavailable)shouldmaketheinspectionandrecordallinformationtothebestofyourability.
Allreportsofconcealeddamagemustbereceivedbythecarrierwithin15workingdays.
