ACSdeliversauthoritativeindependentknowledgeandtechnologyinsights,buildingrelevanttechnologycapacityandcapabilitythatcatalysesAustralianinnovationandspeedstheadoptionoftechnologyforthebenefitofcommerce,governmentandsociety.
ACSassessesprospectivemigrantICTprofessionalsonauthorityoftheAustralianGovernmentensuringcandidatesmeetrelevantassessingauthoritystandardsneededforemploymentinAustraliainanominatedoccupation.

2ACSAssessmentAuthorityTheACSisauthorisedasarelevantAssessingAuthorityforICTskillsoccupationsaslistedintheListofEligibleSkilledOccupations.
TheACSisdesignatedbytheMinisterforImmigrationandBorderProtectioninaccordancewithRegulation2.

26B(2)oftheRegulationsprovidestheAuthorityfortheACStodetermine,atitssolediscretion,thestandardsagainstwhichtheskillsofapersonareassessedasbeingsuitablefortheirnominatedoccupation.

3ApplicantGuidelinesTheseGuidelinesdescribetheeligibilityrequirementsinapplyingforaskillsassessmentundertheMigrationSkillsAssessmentprogram.
Theydonotprovidespecificinformationonmigrationorvisarequirements.
EnquiriesrelatingtovisaandmigrationrequirementsshouldbedirectedtotheDepartmentofHomeAffairs.

4EthicalStandardsAustralianICTprofessionalsareexpectedtomeetethicalstandardsassetoutintheACSCodeofEthicsandACSCodeofProfessionalConduct.
Breachessuchasdocumentfraud,plagiarismormisrepresentationofskillsorknowledgearegroundsforterminationofanapplication.
Insuchcircumstancestheoutcomewillberecordedasunsuitable,a12-monthbanonreapplyingmaybeimposedandtheapplicationfeewillnotberefunded.
TheACSmayusevariousmeanstoverifyorvalidateapplicantsclaimsanddocumentsandwillonlyproceedwithanassessmentoncecredibilityofapplicantclaimsisestablished.
InformationsubmittedbyanapplicanttotheACSmaybesharedwithAustralianGovernmentauthoritiesforthepurposesofmaintainingstandardsandintegrityoftheskillsassessmentandmigrationprocesses.

6UsingMigrationAgentsAnapplicantmayappointaMigrationAgenttosubmitanICTskillsassessmentontheirbehalf.

7FeesandPaymentCurrentassessmentfeesareavailableontheACSwebsitePaymentmustbemadeonlodgementofanapplicationandmayonlybemadebyCreditCard(Visa/Mastercard/AmericanExpress)orPayPal.
AdditionalFeesAllskillsassessmentfeesincludeatotalof8assessmentepisodesperapplication.
Anassessmentepisodecanbeeitherqualificationoremploymentdocumentation.
Forexample,youcansubmit3qualificationsand5employmentepisodesor8employmentepisodesintotaloranycombinationofqualificationsandemploymentepisodesnumbering8assessmentepisodesperapplication.
A$50feewillapplyforeachadditionalqualificationoremploymentepisodethatexceedsamaximumof8assessmentepisodesperapplication.
RecommendationFeeTheACSwillprovidearecommendationforunsuitableapplicationswhichcanberectifiedbyachangeinthenominatedANZSCOcodeorskillsapplicationtype.
Recommendationsarenotobligatory,andapplicantscanchoosetoacceptorrejectanyrecommendation.
Iftherecommendationisacceptedtheapplicantwillberequiredtopayanadditional$200fee.

Yourqualification(s)areassessedtodeterminetheAQFcomparabilityusingAustraliannationaleducationstandards.
ThecourseunitsareassessedtodeterminetheprofessionalICTcontentofyourqualification.
EachunitisassessedtodetermineifitisconsideredanICTprofessionalunitornot.
ThisassessmentoutcomewilldetermineifyourqualificationisaMajor,MinororiftheICTcontentisInsufficient.
WeassesswhichICTunitsareconsideredcloselyrelatedtoyournominatedoccupation.
Onceyourqualification(s)havebeenassessed,thiswilldeterminetheamountofrelevantworkexperienceyourequiretomeetthesuitabilitycriteriaYouremploymentepisode(s)areassessedtodetermineiftheyareconsideredcloselyrelatedtoyournominatedoccupation.

TranslatingdocumentswithinAustraliaAcceptabletranslationsmaybeobtainedfromtranslatorsaccreditedwiththeNationalAccreditationAuthorityforTranslatorsandInterpretersNAATI.
TranslatingdocumentoutsideAustraliaAcceptabletranslationscanbeobtainedfrom:AMinistryofJusticeorequivalentinthecountrywherethequalificationwasobtainedTheAustralianEducationInternationalSection(AEIS)atanAustralianDiplomaticMissionAustralianHighCommission,ConsulateorEmbassyPrivateandCommercialTranslatorsTheAwardingInstitutionOverseastranslationsmustbecompletedontheorganisationletterheadandincludeanofficialstamp,thenameofthetranslator,signatureandcontacttelephonenumberlegiblyprintedwiththesignature.
ItmustbepossiblefortheACStocontactthetranslatorifnecessarytoverifythetranslateddocumentsfromthedetailsprovided.

EachreportmustprovideadetaileddescriptionofacareerepisodeinyouremploymenthistorywithsufficientdetailofevidenceinapplyingtheclaimedICTknowledgeinaworkingsituation.
Theprojectsmustrelatetotheemploymentbeingassessed.
Ofthetworeports,onemustapplytoaprojectundertakenwithinthelastthreeyears,andtheotherforaprojectwithinthelastfiveyears.
SufficientdetailmustbeprovidedtodemonstratethedepthandbreadthofyourICTknowledgegainedduringyourICTemployment.
TheRecognitionofPriorLearningProjectReportmustbeentirelyyourownworkandnotsubmittedbyanotherperson,apaidwritingbusinessoreditingagency.
TheACSreservestherighttousesoftwareapplicationstoscreenyoursubmittedworkformatcheseithertopublishedsourcesortoothersubmittedapplications.
Insomecases,youmaybeaskedtore-submitprojectreportsandotherwrittenworksubmittedwiththeapplicationforscreeningbyplagiarismdetectionservices.
Allquotedorparaphrasedmaterialmustbeclearlyreferenced,andallsourcesnotedintheProjectReport.
FailuretodiscloseinformationincludedintheProjectReportthatisNOTyourown,willresultinanunsuitableassessment.
PleaserefertotheCBOKdocumentationtohelpyouwithapplyingforanRPL.
SuitabilityCriteriaNotes:Ifyourworkexperienceiscompletedbeforethecompletiondateofyourqualification,theSkillLevelRequirementMetDatewillbedeterminedontheearliestdatethatBOTHtherelevantworkexperienceandthequalificationsarecompleted.
Thepast10yearsrequirementperiodforworkexperienceisdeterminedbythe10yearsthatprecedethesubmissiondateofyouronlineskillsapplication.
Theterm"Relevantworkexperience"meansworkexperiencewhichiscloselyrelatedtothenominatedoccupation(ANZSCO)andperformedataprofessionalICTlevel.
TheICTMajorandMinorassessmentisbasedonthenumberofunitswithsufficientICTcontentandthenumberofICTunitsthatarecloselyrelatedtothenominatedoccupation.
AdvancedDiplomaandAssociateDegreesharethesamecriteriaastheDiplomaandVendorCertificationQualificationsassessedasNotRecognisedmeansothequalificationisassessedascomparabletolessthanAQFDiploma,orACS|SkillsAssessmentGuidelinesforApplicants|V6.

SKILLLEVELREQUIREMENTMETDATETheSkillLevelRequirementMetDatewillbenotedonyourACSresultletterandwillbedeterminedbytheoutcomeofthesuitabilitycriteria.
AllrelevantworkexperiencecompletedaftertheSkillLevelRequirementMetDatewillbeconsideredSkilledEmploymentandeligibleforpointsundertheskilledmigrationpointstest.
TheworkexperiencerequiredtomeetthesuitabilitycriteriaisNOTincludedasSkilledEmploymentandisNOTeligibleforpointsundertheskilledmigrationpointstest.
TheACSassessmentprocesswillseektofindtheearliestSkillLevelRequirementMetDatepossibleforeachassessmenttype.
Example1–EmploymentcompletedAFTERthequalification:YoucompletearelevantBachelordegreewithamajorinICTon31Jan2014andyouhave4yearsofrelevantworkexperiencefrom1Feb2014until31Jan2018.
2yearsofworkexperiencewillbeusedtosatisfythesuitabilitycriteriaandyourSkillLevelRequirementMetDatewillbe31Jan2016.
AllsuitableworkexperiencecompletedAFTER31Jan2016willbeconsideredSkilledEmploymentandeligiblefortheskilledmigrationpointstest.
The2yearsofworkexperienceusedtosatisfythesuitabilitycriteriaisNOTeligiblefortheskilledmigrationpointstestbutisassessedtomeetthesuitabilitycriteria.
